What is SOUND OF LONDON?

Sound of London was more than a festival, it was a story: a first-of-its-kind 4-day event highlighting various corners of the underground music scene in London.

Each day of the festival had its own unique twist, as we worked with local grassroots communities to curate a diverse and immersive experience, showcasing the most exciting talent.

The Programme

Sound Of London
Sound Of London - Day 1 - West, presented by Farrago and Dunyadan Sesler.

Tuesday 12th september

Kicking off the festival, Farrago and Dunyadan Sesler shared the stage and brought together a selection of London's best Rock and Folk-inspired musicians. The venue for this special night was The Lower Third - an intimate music venue located in the iconic Outernet complex.

Sound Of London - Day 2 - East, presented by Five Points Project.

Wednesday 13th september

Continuing our musical journey, Five Points Project took over on Day 2 at their resident venue Ninety One Living Room, on Brick Lane. They provided vibes in and around the genres of jazz and jazz fusion, including a jam session, some immersive visual art, and headline performance from Naia: one of the UK's best emerging jazz bands.

Sound Of London - Day 3 - South, presented by Lotus Nova.

Thursday 14th september

Lotus Nova took center stage on Day 3, a community finely ingrained in the London underground music scene, this one was truly special. A mashup of live Hip-hop and rap inspired acts, including a freestyle cypher session to kick off the night. Our host for this evening was POW, Brixton - a venue that gave us plenty of space to find our groove.

Sound Of London - Day 4 - North, presented by Bodily.

Saturday 16th september

To bring the festival to a close, we partnered with Bodily—a community space that explores electronic music with a conscious and interconnected ethos. Bodily collaborates with innovative artists, both on and off the dance floor, to create alternative ways of experiencing sound.

Mesmerising sonic journeys through DJ sets and live electronic performances that resonated through mind and body alike. The event was hosted at Beavertown Taproom in Tottenham, providing a truly unique setting for an electronic music night.

Cool, but where is it at?

The locations

We hand-picked some incredible venues across London, each of them unique in their own way, helping us tell a story about London's underground music culture.
